Ewes are sold as exposed to the rams listed. Most will be bred but there is no guarantee. I strive to sell sheep that are healthy and perform well for their new owners. I replace sheep that have problems that are not the fault of their care or shepherd error. i.e. If a ewe herniates when pregnant from a weak abdominal muscles I will replace her. If a ram doesn't settle his ewes he will be replaced. If however the shepherd left the feed shed open and the sheep got into the grain and hogged out and bloated and died I will not replace this animal. I want you to be happy with your sheep and want you for a repeat customer and will bend over backwards to help you be successful and happy with your purchase. J All sheep are priced FOB. Transportation can be arranged but I prefer that you come and pick them up so that you can see the flock and we can talk sheep! As usual I offer 10% off the purchase of 3 or more sheep. I also offer ongoing help after the sale. I will mentor you until you don’t need me any more. J

They were selected for productiveness, milkiness of their dams, excellent fleece quality, excellent conformation and excellent disposition. They are all from easy lambing ewes that mother their offspring well and produce very growthy lambs year after year. If you want the best breeding stock for your flock consider the following ewes that are sold as exposed (bred) to the following rams.

SRX59M-AI “Neptune” by Kani. He is a twin horned grey moorit 2 year old. His dam is SRX706K who has lovely horns and one of the loveliest fleeces I have ever had in my flock. Her lambing record is (1,1,2,2). She is very milky and an easy lamber and has excellent conformation. Dam’s pedigree brings in many of the early old imported lines that were brought in by Stefania Dignum. His sire Kani is a son of Molur another AI sire of note. Kani is a horned moorit mouflon was brought into the AI station in Iceland in order to improve the horned colored stock in the US and Iceland. He has excellent horns and all over score for conformation.“Neptune” is square has excellent conformation and a fabulous fine soft fleece. His horns are perfect and symmetrical. He has a quiet disposition and is a gentleman with his ewes. He is bred to most of my horned ewes this year. He easily settled them in their first heat. Fabulous ram!

SRX141M-AI “Man-O-War” by Flekkur. This very black AI single polled three year old is one of the tallest/biggest rams in my flock. He is completely polled, and is keeping his very inky black non-graying color. His fleece is excellent with a lot of thel and very long shiny tog. He is alert and quiet. He is a gentleman to his ewes and smart. His first lambs from 2003 are excellent. He carries an excellent spotting pattern and probably moorit. He is long bodied and has excellent square conformation with

excellent muscling. By using him I am line breeding the best ewes and rams in my flock (Saddleback/Golsa breeding). His lambs should be spectacular and inherit his long body, excellent fleece and conformation as well as easy lambing, prolificacy and milkiness. Many of my polled ewes are bred to him this year.

His sire Flekkur was clear polled spotted black and weighed 195 lbs long bodied with a long rack and excellent muscling, his dam was 10 years old and had a 200% lambing record. Flekkur's daughters are prolific and very milky. The Flekkur daughters in my flock are big, milky and prolific with excellent spotting patterns and easy lambing.

Man O War's dam is SRX448J whose lambing record is (1,2,1,2,1). This lambing record reflects the fact that she has been AI’d several times which eschews her true productivity. (AI can cause more or less lambs than the ewe would usually produce if bred naturally). Her sire is STS3D (Mocum) who is a Saddleback son. Her dam is STS45D a Golsa daughter and one of my best and most productive ewes. This is the best breeding in my flock. Dam is of excellent conformation, and easy lamber and has excellentudder and milk production. SRX141M-AI is for sale, as I will have many daughters and sons from him born in 2005. His price is $1000 firm. Photos of this ram don’t do justice to him.

2573 SRX71M-AI sired by Bambi (AI sire) MACBETH moorit horned triplet raised as a triplet. The best colored horned ram raised at Tongue river Farm! Excellent symmetrical horns, fabulous thick thel rich heavy yielding fleece of excellent color. very correct conformation with excellent meat qualities. Calm disposition. Basses on his qualities and his great horns. His first lambs crop is fabulous. His dam is SRX334J-AI sired by Blaevar (AI sire known for very fine fleece). His dam's lambing record is (2,4,3) So there is loads of production behind this ram. His daughters should be excellent dairy prospects. He is double AI breeding.

2563 SRX65M-AI by Sponn (AI sire) "MACARTHUR" White horned twin carries moorit and either grey or solid. Dam is SRX645K a granddaughter of Famous ewe "Saddleback" (see my article about this ewe under the information section on the home page). dam's lambing record is (1,2,2). Macarthur is the best white horned ram ever raised at Tongue River farm. he has extraordinary conformation, thick heavy thel rich fleece, wide very symmetrical horns and a quiet disposition as well as excellent production behind him.

2559 SRX167M "MEGALITH" black badgerface/grouflon (mouflon) polled twin Sire is SRX743L-AI by Hnykill (AI ram). Dam is SRX508K-AI by Askur (AI sire). Dam has a perfect (2,2,2) lambing record and is and excellent milk producer. She also has a velvet fleece, very unusual tog with no wave and very fine. Looks and feels like velvet when growing in after shearing. She gave this fleece to her son Megalith. His lambs will all carry either badgerface or grouflon (mouflon). He is double AI breeding, big very well muscled with excellent conformation. His first lambs are gorgeous.

SIRE:2694 SRX26N "NAVAHO" Spotted grey moorit with loads of color in an excellent spotting pattern. He is a triplet raised as a triplet.

His sire is SRX60M-AI by Dalur. Dalur is known for his fabulous meaty conformation, high milk production and his fabulous fleece. SRX60M-AI inherited these traits from his sire and passed them on to his fabulous son SRX26N.The dam of SRX26N is SRX158G my best milkers and one of my oldest and most productive ewes. Her lambing record is (2,2,1,3,3,3)
